Quilts

I am trying to photograph all my quilted projects and post them to this page.  I'm still missing photos of two large quilts, a celtic table runner, a Christmas lap quilt, and probably a few more things I have forgotten about along the way. Will keep updating.

Took me over a decade to finish this one!

Star Struck, a Bonnie Hunter pattern

Celtic Applique, long abandoned in the ufo pile, but recently finished

From a recent class I took this summer:

Stress Fracture Vertigo, in honor of my last very stressful year at work

Baby quilt

Christmas Goodies!

From a class I took years ago with Anita Shackleford. This was a skill stretcher, dimensional applique, piped and scalloped binding!

Son #2's nursery quilt.....can you guess his age from these fabrics?

This one is from a Gabrielle Swain class and patterns. I call it Consider the Lilies
This next one is a view of the Basilica of St. Francis. I made it after I took a class with Esterita Austin.
Here is the project I made in that class:

Bonnie Hunter's Wild and Goosey blocks.  I may make more of these now that I'm retired, but I lost steam after the first eight and made it into a place mat that I keep by my quilting armchair.

And I made this little flying geese cushion for a footstool that Clyde usually naps on.

Over the years I have collected a few antique blocks. I make them into hotpads or little projects like this one.

Made a pillow out of the class pattern from a Mimi Diedrich hand applique class I took years ago.

Made this little  mat to put under my piano lamp:

Class Project from a Deirdra McElroy handquilting class:

And just a little wallhanging I made ages ago.
Bought this kit at a quilt show, thought it was pretty.

And this was a Snap Sack kit I got at my LQS. These were great projects to fill a weekend afternoon when I was working. All the fabric is included, and the price was reasonable.

And here is another scrap sack project that I made one Sunday afternoon:

My mom keeps trying to get me to take her dad's old deer head (missing an antler) for my living room.   I did this Luke Haynes wallhanging instead, because the trophy deer head thing she has really creeps me out.

Made this single block wallhanging from the fatquartershop pattern:

And here is a Stack n Whack I made years ago. First thing I stitched on my Bernina Aurora with the BSR. I learned that it takes more than a stitch regulator to make a good machine quilter!
Moira from Quilted Snail helped me pick out the main fabric (it was really garish, but worked up well!)

And here's a little wallhanging that has been in the back hallway forever!

And a Christmas quilt I made from a fabric pack that I just loved. Kind of just evolved with no pattern in mind.

Seasonal wallhaning, useful for a facebook profile pic on patriotic holidays:

Just another little mat, made it with a batting buddy ruler.  Use it to cover a bridge over the cable box. Bonnie Cat likes to rest there, because a) it's quilted and b) it is warmed by the vents on the cable box.
