I sewed together the centers that I cut yesterday and began cutting the next round for the hot peppers. I am very pleased with the way the center came together. There are still seam allowances on the outer edge, so there is going to be less of the light green when it's set in.
I took a lot of time trying to find fabrics to go with the floral. Here is what I have auditioned so far.
Green will be round two, and the floral on yellow will be the large pentagons on round three. I don't think I have enough to fussy cut it though, too bad. The pink batik might be the star points, and I have a companion fabric to the inner floral that might show up in either the small pentagons or diamonds that join the stars together.
