Our little Bonniecat has been sick with bronchitis since father's day. She is very adept at spitting up her medicine. I don't know if we can stabilize her. Her breathing is a bit more relaxed but she still has a wheeze.
I am grateful that she still lets me hold her sometimes even though i am the one squirting liquid medicine into her twice a day.
Aw, poor Bonnie! We're also having a bad cat sickness week. Our little Angel just came home from two nights at the emergency vet. It's so hard to see them sick and have to give them the meds that they hate so much :( I hope Bonnie feels better very soon!
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm so sorry -- I know how hard it can be when dealing with a sick kitty!! I hope she gets well soon and you are no longer having to give her the medicine. I like to think that, on some level, they know we're trying to help them.
ReplyDeleteThanks ladies! I think she is stable again and has more energy. I am going to try a pill popper for the prednisolone when the new pills arrive on Tuesday. The other med is currently compounded into a chicken flavor base, so that goes down better than the pred, which smells like robitussin. yuck. Sorry I've been away from blogging and blog reading for so long.
