My main string box was overflowing before I started. I got it down to below the brim with my no rules string blocks. I throw some corner truangles in there as well.
I think the method works ok for smaller blocks but it generates lots more waste with the 6.5" ones. Some of that waste can be the corners of new blocks though.
Here are my blocks. Need to make more with more variety. I have a smaller older cache of strings sorted by color. So i raided that for more yellow pink and green. I think that will help.
I found some border fabric for my scrappy top from a few posts back. May get those borders on this week but the gardens need work. Got my front bed mulched on saturday. Need to continue on with that effort.
