May Morning

Haven't sewn a thing yet today, and yesterday I only painted a small study to try to learn how to paint some people into a  scene.

But we took a walk this morning and got some great photos.

Some azaleas by the retaining wall.

 Lilacs just starting to bloom.

 And even the poison ivy staged a nice photo with the shadows clearly showing the ominous leaves of three.

 I don't know what this is, but it looks pretty when backlit in the morning sun.

A doe looks like she is about ready to shed her winter coat.

 And a frog who hangs out near a walkway over a stream that crosses our trail.

Some neighbors have a pond on their property and these two call it home.

We are so lucky to have all this lovely stuff to see on a morning walk!  It's a beautiful day. I don't know if I will make it into the quiltorium or not. Need to drink up more sunshine today.
